Sun, Saints and Smiles at St William of Perth!
St William of Perth Primary School in Rochester, Kent celebrated the feast day of their patron saint with an outdoor liturgy. Beautiful weather prevailed as all members of the school community joined together in celebration. Each class used their talents to celebrate an aspect of the life of St William of Perth.
Highlights of the liturgy included a dramatic reconstruction of St William of Perth’s pilgrimage from Scotland to Rochester by Year 4 while the children in Year 2 commemorated the life of St William of Perth by performing a liturgical dance. The students of Year 5 choose to celebrate the life of William of Perth by displaying banners sharing the mission statement of St. William of Perth. During the afternoon the children and staff held parties on the field where everyone enjoyed ice lollies and music in the summer sun to mark the end of a fantastic day at SWOP!
